I advise my clients to visit their websites at least once per year. In reality, you’ll be looking at it more frequently but, at a minimum, every year, at least once. Many business owners are so committed to running their business that they cannot keep an eye on their site. You’ll be amazed at how many minor edits you could do if you spend just a few minutes looking over the content. Here’s a checklist of what you need to do to ensure that your site is in top condition in 2022.

Make sure you are aware of your content

It is willing to take a moment to go through each page of your site. Are your pages written well? Do you have enough information? Does it convey the message you want your visitors to get? Does it address the visitor’s issues? Are there any mistakes? It is the best moment to ensure whether your content communicates precisely what you intend to convey through the content.

In terms of your content, Google ranks sites with premium content more highly than sites that don’t. So, think carefully about what your site says and invest some time to ensure it’s correct and high-quality information for 2022. You’ll never be disappointed when you add fresh, new up-to-date information to your site.

Be sure to check your buttons and click on the links

Sometimes when managing an online site, you modify an entire page, change the link, or even make an update. The old links are no longer working. Please spend a few minutes examining your entire website and click on every button and connection, and ensure that they are all exactly where you want to take them. Make sure you fix any links that aren’t working or buttons that don’t function.

When you look at the buttons you have, you could go a step more toward making sure that they’re all buttons. Many people prefer to appear cute using their regulators, but ensure that they are like buttons when you would like people to click your buttons. Rectangular with clearly written words, I strongly recommend that the buttons change colour as you hover them since it is a way to enforce what the button is doing.

Get New Photos

I’ve written extensively on the importance of having great images on your site But have you thought about the age of your photos? If a large part of your business is selling your services and your picture is old, it could be time to make an upgrade. If a customer comes to your location and notices that you’re 20 years older than you appear on your site, there’s a chance they’ll have concerns. But that doesn’t mean that being older isn’t a bad thing. Being experienced at what you do is excellent. However, it could be disorienting for clients to look at photos of themselves 20 years ago, only to come back to discover it’s not the person they appear to be.

It’s the perfect time to start planning for new headshots and team pictures for your business. Find a talented photographer, choose an appropriate outfit, and update your marketing materials to 2022.

Check your frequently asked questions

You’ll be amazed by the amount of time you’ll reduce with Frequently Asked Questions pages on your website. Things have been changing so drastically over the past year. Are your FAQs updated? Are you facing new questions that you need to ask? Did your answers vary? Check out all of the FAQs you have, make changes to your answers and add any questions that must be addressed by 2022.

Add photos to your Portfolio

Your portfolio should not be just an expression of your best work, but it should also reflect your position at present. Your portfolio should demonstrate that you’re engaged and sought-after, and you are always on top of the latest trends. Look over your portfolio. When was the last time it was updated in the year 2020? If not, it’s time to reflect on some of your 2021 projects.

Check your Forms

Every year, at least take a test of your web forms. There is no way to know when a minor update or modification can affect the delivery of these messages. It’s only a matter of minutes to send one in and ensure that the notes are precisely where they’re supposed to be.

Do you have automated messages that are automated, such as automated onboarding? It is the perfect time to check whether they are working as expected and still functioning.

I’m a huge fan of blogging. It provides an enormous amount of value to your website, not only as articles for your readers and readers but also in Google rankings. Adding a blog to your website is the best way to attract new visitors to the site.

Consider how you can improve your presence on social media

Are you active on social media? Are you engaged? Review what you’re doing well and think about creating an updated calendar of your social media activities for 2022. Be aware that just having the accounts doesn’t suffice. It is essential to interact with your users. It is part of the “social” part of social media.
